The quarrel between Georges Didi-Huberman and Enzo Traverso on AOC, based on a photograph by Gilles Caron, has not been resolved. Guillaume Blanc-Marianne, by using other documents and also by going back over Gilles Caron’s reportage on the Battle of the Bogside (August 12-14, 1969) in Northern Ireland, suggests a reliable way out, demonstrating that it is unwise to give greater credit to the text over the image.
The text of Guillaume Blanc Marianne is composed of two parts available on AOC, the photographic references echo the images above.
- Image légendée, histoire légendaire
Coda à la querelle entre Georges Didi-Huberman et Enzo Traverso (1/2)
- Image floue, histoire myope
Coda à la querelle entre Georges Didi-Huberman et Enzo Traverso (2/2)
The texts are only available in French.
